Cult Order presents new movements from the hand of Upercent in a two-track EP: “Yahi” and “Fck Brain”.
“Yahi” unfolds atop a groove that bears a distinct signature, anchored by a vocal reduced to a solitary incantation. The melody wanders and recedes, filtering through the groove’s shadows. At its center, the track opens into a break that alters the perspective entirely, granting a moment of suspension before the undertow pulls everything back into the fray.
“Fck Brain” strips the language even further. A blunt, looped vocal presides over a rhythm of pure physicality. The low end is raw, sculpted from a processed 909 tom that replaces harmony with impact. The structure is stark and repetitive, direct and unyielding, built to strike in its most skeletal form.
Together, these pieces form a study in singular focus. Music positioned at the night’s meridian, when attention becomes absolute.
