Maxim Lany joins Essential Part with Airco, a two-track EP pairing his solo title track with Beon C, a studio collaboration with Dimitri Andreas.
The title track, Airco, is built around a bouncing, elastic bassline, dry synth stabs and fragments of spoken vocals. The groove develops gradually, with subtle shifts in rhythm and texture keeping things moving. Playful and hypnotic, it draws its energy from a persistent loop rather than big transitions, slowly pulling the listener in as the track unfolds.
Beon C was born from a crate-digging session between Maxim and Dimitri. Their different musical backgrounds clicked almost immediately, and within an hour of working together they knew there was something there. Old vinyl samples, their own recordings, synths and percussion all ended up layered into a stripped-back, psychedelic minimal techno track. Direct and punchy, but with a warm touch underneath.
