The latest addition to the Unusual Way catalog refers to Adrian Roman’s most recent experimentation.
Moving further into straighter and more hypnotic territories, the release was built as an exploration of how little is needed to create movement. Working with a deliberately limited palette, each track unfolds through small shifts in texture and atmosphere, inviting attention to detail rather than accumulation. Influenced by Efdemin and other surrounding currents, the EP became an exercise in staying with a sound long enough to uncover new dimensions within it.
“Crescendo”, the opening track and namesake of the EP, presents itself as a seemingly linear landscape that gradually transforms through subtle changes, building quietly toward its eventual climax.
The work concludes with “Study of a Sound”. Months of listening and immersion, moving between recent discoveries and the more traditional, foundational sounds of electronic music, culminate in a track driven by groove, assertive percussion and a direct approach.
