Alessio Cristiano debuts on Essential Part with “Run That Back!”, a two-track EP built on sharp sound design and strong rhythmic flow.
The release opens with the title track, “Run That Back!”. Built around a classic vocal hook, the track unfolds over the artist’s signature groove, driven by subtle Middle Eastern-inspired melodies and ever-evolving percussion. The panning and stereo image act as compositional tools, giving the arrangement constant movement while keeping every element in its place.
Closing the EP, “Samba” takes a different path. The arrangement relies on evolving pads, organic toms, and drum fills that appear and fade seamlessly, keeping the track in constant motion while the main melody anchors it. Midway through, an organ-tinged synth with a subtle jazzy character changes the mood before the vocal takes over and completes the track.
